Joss Jaffe

Leave your mark on the world

Joss Jaffe combines reggae and pop to create a blend of organic and electric sounds all his own with his new release ‘Play it Again’ (featuring Kiyoshi). Take a little Sublime, mix it with J Boog and then add some Jack Johnson, and you have a feel for what Jaffe is presenting in this new sound, where influences such as The Police and U2 can also be heard. Joss Jaffe began playing music at a young age, when he started writing and producing his own songs. Along with touring the world, Jaffe also spreads his knowledge through classes and workshops.

Joss Jaffe’s single, ‘Play it Again’, is released alongside 2 more original songs all exploring topics of love, life, intimacy, mortality and spirituality. Set to pulsing rhythms blending pop, hypnotic dub reggae and ambient trip-hop, Joss’ clear and distinctive voice draws the listener in with a unique and catchy sound.

The California-based artist’s 5th release builds on the success of his earlier albums. His most recent, ‘Meditation Music’, a minimalist ambient soundscape in the vein of Brian Eno, debuted in the top 10 Billboard New Age Chart in 2019. His previous three albums comprising the ‘Dub Mantra’ series merge sacred chants with reggae, dub, electronica, pop and traditional world music to critical acclaim.

Jaffe maintains an active tour schedule performing in Asia, Europe and Australia and has been featured on the West Coast festival circuit appearing at Beloved, Lucidity, Lightning in a Bottle, Wanderlust, Oregon Country Fair and more. In 2017 he played at over 22 festivals worldwide including Rainbow Serpent in Australia, Luminate in New Zealand and Korea Yoga Conference in South Korea. He has been profiled in Vents Magazine, Yoga Journal Korea, No Depression, LA Yoga Magazine and the UK’s Om Magazine. He has collaborated with Grammy winning reggae vocalist Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru, as well as Jai Uttal and Donna De Lory.
